We’ve just received new pictures from the eye clinicians at Embangweni Mission Hospital showing a recent outreach work. The team visited Dimi Primary School and Makhosikazi Primary School, doing eye screening, providing reading glasses, and making cataract surgery referrals. They saw more than 600 patients over two days.

During the visits, the team also delivered eye health awareness and education sessions for the local residents.

The Embangweni team report that “…we have good positive responses from our clients… To them it’s a privilege to be visited and examined close to their homes… Clients are also happy for distribution of reading glasses that helps them perform their daily activities without troubles… The community is happy with this project and would like to ask for its extension so that many benefits from it.”
